Exclusivity is dead, long live the mutliplatform titles.

And this year, there has been some exceptional titles on either the PS3, 360 and Wii to boot.

Grand Theft Auto IV was completely overhyped and did not live up to the standards of GTA III, Vice City or even San Andreas. That said, GTA IV was still a great game and one of the finest this year.

Burnout Paradise for the PS3 and 360 will surely be the winner of “Best Game This Year to Get Great Free DLC” but even if it doesn’t, Criterion deserve a shitload of praise delievering a substanual amount of DLC which should be premium DLC for free for what is an already great game without the DLC.

FIFA 09 finally ruled the roost in football games this year, beating Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 to the crown of “Best Football Game” this year on the PS3, 360 and Wii.

And Fallout 3, at first labeled an Oblivion with guns, has turned out to be the RPG released this year on the PS3 and 360.

Here are the nominees for Best Multiplatform Title of 2008.

Grand Theft Auto IV (PLAYSTATION 3/Xbox 360)
