UPDATE: A comment appeard on PS3Life which has now been deleted by the user but someone managed to get ahold of it and said this. From N4G:

OK. Anyone notice I hinted at the Uncharted 2 reveal before the end of the year? I hinted at something else…

“It’s not PS3″

“Jak and Daxter will be out for the PSP soon.”

“Clever. Ain’t Naughty Dog either.

So there could be another Naughty Dog game. i won’t tell you about.”

So no PS3 verison of J&D… for now, maybe after Uncharted 2.

Original Story: Not content with announcing Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on Monday, it may seem that Naughty Dog are getting ready to announce another game.

Having announced the sequal to the best PS3 game of 2007 this week, ND are apparently getting ready to make an announcement on a new game in development and all fingers are being pointed at Jak & Daxter 4 for the PLAYSTATION 3 or a PSP game but based on Jak & Daxter.

Original Story: The ND rumor kicked off when VGTilt, the same lot who accruately posted a rumor on Uncharted 2, said at the end of that same article:

Again, nothing more than that… but it sounds logical. Ol’ buddy said it won’t be the only game Naughtydog shows off next year, either. Jak perhaps?

So while they didn’t actually say it was Jak & Daxter (although they did say it could be), most would assume it was a new J&D on the PS3. But PS3Life.nl are saying that this new game, while Jak & Daxter, is not for the PS3 and is infact for the PSP.

It was reported that a new announcement of the Jak franchise forthcoming state. It would not be half of PS3 game developer Naughty Dog, but a PSP spin-off is made by another studio. Best possible, because the Daxter engine is already ported to the Sony PSP and eigende more than a year ago the rights of “Jak: The Lost Frontier ‘again.

So, which is it, PSP or PS3? Thoughts in the comments section below.
