Capcom Say 2009 is the “year of multiplatform” as Dead Rising and Lost Planet Sequals Are Confirmed
In this week’s Famitsu, Capcom went on record about some of their upcoming games.
For Street Fighter IV, they annnounced that the servers for online play would be worldwide and will not be region locked.
As far as Resident Evil 5 was concerned, they expect the game to ship 5 – 6 million units of the game when it launches in March.
They then went on to state that 2009 was “the year of multiplatform” and to state that, they announced two sequals that would be going multiplat.
The company announced that sequals of Dead Rising and Lost Planet are in development and would be multiplatform. While Lost Planet has made the jump to both the Xbox 360 and PS3, Dead Rising has been an exclusive on the Xbox 360 till recently when a Wii port of the game, Chop Till You Drop, was announced yet there has been no version for the PLAYSTATION 3.
They did state that would be exclusive content for the Xbox 360 version of DR2 as a gesture of goodwill.
Both games are estimated to be out this year.
