E3 2009: Tretton on PS3′s “formidable arsenal”
SCEA president Jack Tretton has gone on record to The Tech Chronicles (via VG247) about the PLAYSTATION 3′s “formidable arsenal” as well as the PS3′s Motion Controller.
On a line-up for the PS3, which includes just for this year Uncharted 2, MAG, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time as first party titles, plus 3rd party multiplatform titles like Assassins Creed 2, Modern Warfare 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, he said:
I feel we have a formidable arsenal. I would find it hard to believe gamers wouldn’t choose a PS3 with this game lineup
And on the PS3 motion controller, announced at Sony’s press conference on Tuesday:
We have more experience with spatial motion gaming. There are limitations and our experience gives us that appreciation.
Tretton, who co-hosted the Sony press conference with SCEI president Kaz Hirai, made several announcements during the show, including Gran Turismo 5, The Last Guardian, the secret Rockstar exclusive Agent and Final Fantasy XIV, which was undoubtably the announcement of E3. Demos of Uncharted 2 and MAG were also shown.
