Harmonix: Michael Jackson Wont “compromise” The Beatles: Rock Band
Despite the untimely, and saddning, death of Michael Jackson, Harmonix has said that his death wont overshadow The Beatles: Rock Band.
Speaking to IGN, a rep for the developer has said that that the game’s tracklist wont be “compromised” by the singer’s death two weeks ago today.
Jackson, who died of cardiac arrest, bought 200 of The Beatles back catalog 25 years ago after buying ATV, a publisher who had the rights to back catalogs, including 200 Beatles songs. Several years later, Jackson merged the company with Sony BMG who were his record label at the time.
As for the game, it will be released on 09/09/09 for PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, the same day the band’s 13 albums get a remaster re-release
