Why GOONL!NE Hasn’t Been Updated
Okay, here is why GOONL!NE has stopped updating for you.
As of last Friday, the internet in my house somehow went off and never came back. Needless to say, we were onto BT quicker then you can say kaboom! It wasn’t the bill, we paid it. Instead, what it was was a fault on the phone line.
As of writing this, someone from BT is due out today to take a look at it(I’m on through my sisters mobile internet). Hence, this is the reason why you’ve missed a shitload of news, some decent stuff in there as well (Valkyria Chronicles 2! For the PSP, false alarm).
But I’ll be honest. It’s not just the internet, it’s one other thing: myself. As you may or may not know, while I am Managing Editor of GO, I am also a freelancer. Recently, this past Monday, I had the great chance to write for VG247 along with Patrick Garratt for a freelancing slot at GamesCOM in Cologne. And while I do promise you I aint stopping GOONL!NE (not by a long shot), if I were to update GO and VG247 at the same time, it would be seen as a conflict on interest and I wouldn’t want that.
We do have two other staff in James Love and Darren Simpson, but they havent been taught how to work our CMS. I would like to sincerely apologise to whoever comes here and reads up on our updates, we’ve let you down by this.
Needless to say, when the internet is fixed, you’ll have my upmost guarantee that this will never happen again.
Again, apologies.
Jonathan Cullen,
Managing Editor, GOONL!NE
UPDATE: And with apologies said, we’re up and running again.
