CONFIRMED: Final Fantasy XIII to Release on December 17th
Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII will release in Japan on December 17th.
The announcement was leaked yesterday, but it’s still amazing news, innit?
A new trailer and demo was at the “Premiere Party”, but photos and video are under NDA due to the same demo and trailer being at TGS at the end of the month.
We’re hugely pumped for this now – our most antcipated game of 09.
SCEI boss Kaz Hirai also turned up at the event to announce – alongside Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada – a bundle involving the game will also be released at release, although specfics will be confirmed near launch.
As for Europe and the US? Spring 2010 with the European announcement in “the very near future” according to VG247 when they asked Square Enix about a date earlier this morning.
It’s official: we’re now excited. We’re going to review the import (if we’re learn Japanese in time, or it has English subs) once released, so stay tuned.
