CONFIMED: Playstation Home Open Beta Confirmed for November 2008, Full Release Due in 2009
The Creative Director of Playstation Home, Ron Festejo, has confirmed that after the extension of the closed beta of Playstation Home, there will be an open beta for all to try from November 2008, effectively meaning that the full service will not be open until Early 2009.
Speaking at Playstation Day to Eurogamer, Festejo said that around July, they’ll be adding more people to the service.
“Home is currently in a closed beta phase. We have between 8,000 and 10,000 users in this closed beta phase. Around July we’re going to be expanding on the closed beta phase and allowing more people to gradually come in, and then in November this year we’ll be going to the open beta.”
Hopefully, we’ll get to see the beta soon but until then, this is all that we got for now.
