CONFIRMED: Geoff Keighley Kills Off a 2009 Release for Heavy Rain
Anyone who thought that Heavy Rain was still gonna make 2009, especially after Friday, god how we love rubbing it in your faces.
Geoff Keighley seems to have put the final death kneel into the 2009 date for Quantic Dream’s murder thriller game, which involves sexy dancers, taxidermists, Agent Smith lookalikes and origami. On last week’s GTTV (picked up by Eurogamer), he states to the game’s managing director at SCEA that the game will be out next year.
This goes in a controdiction towards the 2009 date given by SCEE at GC in Leipzig last August. We reported on Friday that the 2009 date was in danger of being swept aside, and now we’re just gonna come out and say it.
We told you so, we told you so!
Dont worry, a proper date should be given at E3 next week.

Heh, I like the possibly related post at the bottom, “Heavy Rain In Hawaii Kills 1″. That would be a good reason to push back its release.
Um, I don’t mean to suggest that tragic loss of life is funny, though…
