E3 2009: CONFIRMED: Jade Raymond Working on Assassins Creed 2 with Desilets [UPDATE]
UPDATE: Ubisoft kindly sent us a clip of the interview, you can catch it here.
Original Story: Well, we got confirmation before E3, but it’s very much real now: Assassins Creed II is being headed up by Jade Raymond.
The Ubisoft developer, who is arguably one of the sexiest people in the industry, is working on the game as Executive Producer of the game alongside Creative Producer for the game, Patrice Desilets. The news came from a Ubisoft interview with Raymond and Desilets.
But with Raymond in the same role as before, why wasnt she demoing Assassins Creed 2 on Tuesday at the Sony conference? Simple: she’s stepping back from all the media and PR of the game, according to :
I’m taking a step back from all the press and stuff this time. I’m executive producer. Got to let the new producer shine. I had my spotlight on Assassin’s Creed 1. I’m very much involved with the team from day one.
It was rumored after Assassins Creed came out, Raymond was working on I Am Alive from Ubi, but this was swiftly denied. When Assassins Creed 2 was revealed back in April, it only appeared that Raymond wasnt working on the game. We even tried talking to Ubi to get an answer, alas nothing except to just to stay tuned now.
But first signs of confirmation came in an interview with German TV. And well, now we have the proof.
