Producer for Final Fantasy XIII Yoshinori Kitase has been confirmed by Square Enix Europe to be a special guest at GamesCom for a special Q&A photocall. Also coming to the event is director, Motomu Toriyama as well as producer of Final Fantasy XIV, Hiromichi Tanaka.

That should be awesome. Shame we’re not going.

It all takes place next week, from August 19th-22nd.

SQUARE ENIX EUROPE ANNOUNCES VERY SPECIAL GUESTS TO ATTEND GAMESCOM 2009

London (11th August 2009) – Square Enix Europe, the new company integrating the publishing, sales and marketing forces of Square Enix Ltd. (Square Enix) and Eidos Interactive (Eidos), today announces key development talent from Japan, America and Europe will be attending GamesCom (Cologne, August 19th – 23rd).

Yoshinori Kitase (Producer) and Motomu Toriyama(Director) will be flying in from Japan for the highly anticipated FINAL FANTASY® XIII. Hiromichi Tanaka(Producer) will be attending on behalf of the development team working on the recently announced MMORPG, FINAL FANTASY XIV.

Jeremy Lee (Development Director) and David Verfaillie (Lead Designer) will be attending for the forthcoming Third-Person Shooter, FRONT MISSION EVOLVED™.

Takayuki Kawasaki (Project Manager) on the Action-Adventure game NIER™; Victor Kislyi (CEO, Wargaming.net) and Nick Katselapov (VP of Business Development, Wargaming.net) will be attending for the forthcoming World War II Strategy Action title, ORDER OF WAR™; and Chris Taylor(Creator) of SUPREME COMMANDER® 2 will all be present at the show.
