We wont ruin the story of MGS4 for you as you could still be far from finishing it but either way Solid Snake’s story is finished.
But it appears that Konami arent done with the Metal Gear Solid franchise yet.
It appears that Konami have registered a trademark with the Japanese Trademark Office.
Now, why on earth is this connected to MGS? Answer’s on a postcard OR hear our personal thoughts after the jump.
The site in question which broke the story, Silliconera, personally question that it could be a new MGS canon game starring Big Boss. However, if the Existence title is connected with MGS, it wouldn’t be for a new MGS game.
Thats because it’s not Konami or Kojima Productions style to name a MGS title with a subtitle like that.
The best guess here (and the most probable) is that it’s the subtitle for a new MGS4 spin-off.
There was Metal Gear Solid 2: Substence and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence after the release of both Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 a year beforehand but even then, Existence is a subtitle for the 3rd disc of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence which is the movie verison of Snake Eater.
So who knows but we could hear more at the Tokyo Games Show in nearly 2 weeks time.
