Resident Evil 5 Figures – PS3 Outsells Xbox 360 4:1
According to overnight Day One figures given by Ameblo, Resident Evil 5 for the PLAYSTATION 3 is outselling the Xbox 360 verison by 4:1, not 3:1 as we reported yesterday.
While we wont get final figures for the SKU’s till Wednesday night when Media Create release the software numbers, the PS3 verison so far has over 222,000 units comapred to the Xbox 360’s lonely 56,000 units which means there is a very good chance that the game will sell more then 300k which was the figure Yakuza 3 posted when it went to No. 1 this week.
Infact, RE5 has managed to beat day one sales of Resident Evil 4 for the GameCube and PlayStation 2 combined with 262,000 units sold for RE4 combined for Day One (145,000 for the PS2, 117,00 for the GameCube) with the PS3 verison selling most of the 277,000 units sold yesterday.
Now I bet your feeling jealous at the Japnese who are probably being all smug about it. Well no worries, they wont feel smug after next Friday, its out here and America for the PS3 and 360 then.
