E3 2009: McCartney and Starr Appear at MS Conference for Beatles: Rock Band

Beatles Rock BandIn what would prove to be the first of many shocks of last night’s Microsoft conference, Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr came out on stage during the live gameplay demo of The Beatles: Rock Band, minutes after Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison (widows of John Lennon and George Harrison) were on stage as well. On the stage, Starr said:

The game is good, the graphics are very good, and we were great

Needless to say, the game is shaping up nice, Harmonix demoed it last night as the opening act of the Microsoft conference and it was good.

Also announced was All You Need is Love would be exclusive to the Xbox 360 version, alongside the 45 songs that would be coming with the game. The song will be at launch on Xbox Live Marketplace. But what did McCartney think of the game?

We love the game, it’s fantastic.

It’s out on September 9th. As in 9/9/09. Yip, the Dreamcast anniversary. It’s out on PS3, 360 and Wii.
