E3 2009: Schappert: “We’ve got the best games” [for Xbox 360]
Head of Xbox Live John Schappert has said to the BBC that the collection of great gaming franchises is pretty much complete.
The Metal Gear Solid franchise was the last franchise that we were really truly looking to get on board.
“We’ve got the best games and we’ve got all the franchises that might have started their lives on other consoles coming to the 360.
To say Microsoft put in a strong performance at their press conference last night is more or less an understatement, it was simply put incredible. A new MGS, Crackdown 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Halo: Reach, Project Natal, plus demos of Splinter Cell: Conviction, Final Fantasy XIII, Forza Motorsport 3 and more.
And according to Piers Harding-Rolls of Screen Digest, the old days of PlayStation domination are gone:
When the PlayStation 2 was the dominant platform, it was less of an issue for developers to tie up an exclusive deal.
