First, it was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, then it was Modern Warfare 2, now it’s back to the former again, what the fuck is going on?

*ahem*

In their Q1 earnings call for calendar 09, Activision seems to have made a big U-turn on Modern Warfare 2’s title and have reverted back to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2… damnit. Acti also announced that it had sold over 13 million copies worldwide, across all platforms it was released on, including PS3, 360, PC and Nintendo DS (yes, there was a DS version).

So there you have it, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2″ will be out on November 10th, worldwide, for PS3 and 360. And just incase for the casual’s, it’s been made by the team who made the last good COD, not the last recent one (to anyone in the know, you’ll obviously know it’s Infinity Ward)

New Yakuza Game on the Way

Posted in PlayStation 3 with tags , , , , , on May 7, 2009 by Jonathan Cullen

ps3

There is a new Yakuza in development from SEGA, thats according to the latest issue of Famitsu. The game isnt Yakuza 4 or Yakuza Kenzen 2, but is infact a prequal which features back to a younger Kazuma, which probably means it’s set just before the original Yakuza on the PlayStation 2.

It will be a PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive. Still no word from SEGA to if they’ll actually release Yakuza Kenzen, let alone Yakuza 3 in the West.

Activision Announce Several “Hero” Games

Posted in Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 with tags , , , , , on May 7, 2009 by Jonathan Cullen

guitar-hero

Activision have announced several new “Hero” games, including Guitar Hero and Band Hero as well as DJ Hero. We knew about DJ Hero, obviously, the screenshots for the turntable were released this morning, while Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero were new ones, but GH5 was obviously coming from a mile away.

But Band Hero is mean to represent a game which has a “top 40″ feeling to it, so anybody looking for your rock & roll, you may want to go for Guitar Hero 5… or Rock Band for the full band experience.

Still no release dates, but Acti did put down a tentitive date for Autumn for all 3. Press release is below.

Words fail us here.

Activision has revealed the turntable controller you get when you buy DJ Hero, we assume you’ll get it this year, and we dont know what to say after seeing it. It’s basiclly a turntable with a disc, but with Red, Green and Blue fret buttons, no Yellow or Orange though.

Catch the shots after the jump.

Nothing has been announced of the game so far, other then it’s coming and it apparently has Tïësto on it’s setlist. We pray for … or Traffic.

Ta Pat.
