E3 2009: MGS Still Has Titles Not Shown for 2009
So, half of what you seen from last night at the Microsoft conference is the 2009 lot for Xbox 360 from Microsoft Games Studios, right?
Nope. Shane Kim says there is more.
Kim, who was the former head of MGS but now is in another postiton inside Xbox, said to G4 that there is more to come from 2009 for MGS:
We didn’t put every Microsoft Game Studios game that’s coming out this year on stage, so I don’t think you can use that as the only proxy.
It comes as Forza Motorsport 3 and Halo 3: ODST were tagged for 2009, ODST is out in September and Forza 3 out in October. As well as that 2010 titles were confirmed with Halo: Reach and Alan Wake as well as Crackdown 2.
And on third party support?
But there’s no question that we have tremendous third-party support.
No doubt. Games including The Beatles: Rock Band, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Final Fantasy XIII, Modern Warfare 2 and Tony Hawk Ride were demoed, as well as the gigaton that Hideo Kojima announced the next major Metal Gear Solid, Rising, for the Xbox 360.
