So, the Western Yakuza 3 release is finally real. No more denials. It’s happening.
The game will release on the PlayStation 3 in March 2010 in Europe, although a specific date is to be confirmed. To celebrate the news, Sega’s released, quite frankly, the biggest load of media we’ve seen.

Go get. After the break.
After initially being tight-lipped when GOONL!NE asked if the rumours were true of Yakuza coming to Europe and the US, SEGA have today confirmed to the PlayStation Blog that it will indeed be making it’s way over here.
Speaking to the Blog, Kevin Eva (Online Community Manager for SEGA) confirmed that will be fully localised with “full English subtitling, whilst maintaining the rich Japanese voice actors,” and a date of March 2010 Europe and Australia was given but none for the US at present.
SEGA have today released the boxart for Aliens vs. Predator, which is due to land on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in February.

Media-Create has released this weeks Hardware and Software charts for Japan.
Bayonetta comes out on top in the software charts for the PS3, while the 360 version lands in 7th. And thanks to it, the PS3 sees a better push this week and higher sales then previous weeks, although still falls short to dethrone the DSi from top spot in the hardware charts.

SEGA Europe has given GOONL!NE a “no comment” on whenever a Western release of Yakuza 3 will happen.
It comes as last week, a NeoGAFer said the publisher will finally release the game in the West, despite saying previously there were no plans to do so.
“No comment from [SEGA]“, said a PR from the company.
There might be hope just yet.
Fresher than a Xenomorph bursting out of your chest cavity, here’s the lastest trailer for SEGA’s forthcoming FPS, Aliens vs. Predator.
Aliens vs. Predator is being developed Rebellion Developments who were the team behind the 1999 original PC game. There are three campaigns in the game, one for each race, the Predators, the Aliens and the Colonial Marines. While they are separate in terms of individual plot and gameplay, overall they form one overarching storyline.
It is to be released February 2010 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The trailer is after the jump.
Over at NeoGAF, Cyntec has stated that Yakuza 3 will be making its way to the US.
“Yesterday Sega told me alot about Yakuza 3, after begging for more information about a western release.
To short this up: Sega brings Yakuza 3 with an english translation. Japanese voice, english subtitles – just like Y2. No internal release-date set so far, but I guess it will hit early 2010.”
Cyntec also said that Yakuza Kenzan (a spin off from the Yakuza series) won’t be coming along with it.
