TGS 09: Ueda Hoping for a EU/Japan Simultaneous Release for Last Guardian

fumito-uedaFumito Ueda has told Eurogamer that he hopes to see a simultaneous release between Europe and Japan for The Last Guardian.

“I hope to see that, yes,” was what the Team ICO bossman said in the interview on the question. Although he refused to disclose how far the game was in development, or a specific release date, which people are assuming to be next year.

He also states how the catratdragon Trico works in the game… somewhat.

“For example, if you have access to one of Torico’s favourite foods or objects, you can throw it to a place where you wouldn’t be able to go in normal circumstances.”

TGS 09: Brand New Splinter Cell: Conviction Trailer

So here it is; the Splinter Cell: Conviction Release Date Trailer, straight from TGS.

Basically, it’s awesome, and only makes the game look more like the ultimate Splinter Cell. Squint, however, and you’ll see a mission taking place in Washington D.C at night, Sam Fisher at the steps of the Capitol building, and a security guard with some sort of Eastern European Logo on his back.  Oh, and add to that Sam INSIDE the White House, with his Green NVG, being help up by someone. Mr. President, are you trying to shoot me?

God of War III Demo in God of War Collection

The demo of God of War III that was shown off at E3 will be included alongside the God of War collection according to GameSpot.

Along with God of War I and II, a redeemable code will be bundled with the game, which when used on the PlayStation Store, will allow users to download the demo of God of War III.

No official release date has been given other than the “holiday” season, so expect it anytime in either November or December if you live in the US. European gamers can expect to see the game arrive sometime in 2010, potentially in March near the release of GoW III.

250GB PS3 SKU Heading To The UK

SCE UK have confimed to MCV that a second model of the recently redesigned PlayStation 3 will be launched in the UK. The new 250GB model will RRP at £284.99 and will arrive on October 1st, and will initially be bundled with either inFamous or two games from Sony’s Platinum collection of games. Another bundle will appear on October 16th with Uncharted 2 being packaged along with it.

A Blu-ray Movie Pack will also be coming too on 19th October, which will feature X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Dark Knight and the Official Blu-ray remote. This (along with all the 250GB bundles) will retail at £284.99.

TGS 09: RUMOR: Final Fantasy XIII Boxart Spotted

Final Fantasy XIII BoxartUFFS are reporting that that the Final Fantasy XIII boxart – for Japan at least – is on show at the Tokyo Game Show. Pics too.

It shows Lightning riding on the horsey version of her summon in the game, Odin, as well as the logo of the game. It’s being shown alongside the Final Fantasy XIII PS3 Slim, which was announced this morning.

More through the link. We’ll see if Square Enix will bite and confirm if its true or not.
