Capcom Date Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Bundled with Wii Zapper

re-darkside-chroniclesCapcom’s announced that it’ll be bringing Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles to the Wii on Novemebr 27th.

Also confirmed by the publisher is that the game will be published alongside a Wii Zapper, the first time a third party publisher has been allowed to bundle the prepheral with a game.

Leon Kennedy, Clare Redfield and Steve Burnside are all playable in the game, although Jill Valentine is not. Why do we say that? Capcom accidently put in the character in the email PR, but emailed us later to clarify that was a mistake on their part.

So just Leon, Clare and Steve.

Pic of the bundle is after the jump.

Cologne 2009: Gran Turismo 5 To Come This Year

At GamesCom, Polyphony Digital continued to demo Gran Turismo 5, showing off new features such as damage modelling on their cars. Surprisingly for Sony, they failed to announce a release date for the game at GamesCom.

With the game being playable at GamesCom, and Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi having admitted that Gran Turismo 5 is “at a point we can release it any time we want,” a release this year is probably. Additionally, he has also stated that GT5 will launch soon after GT PSP, “[We're] just thankful that so many people are interested in Gran Turismo 5″, said Yamauchi, adding, “[It] should be out shortly after that date.”

This is further backed up by a brochure that was handed out recently in Cologne, saying on the brochure “4. Quartel 2009″.

You don’t exactly need to know much German to figure out what that means on the brochure.

It is likely that GT5 will have a big push come TGS, which begins on September 24th.

Find the picture after the jump.

Thanks, GTPlanet

A rep from 2K games has today confirmed to Joystiq that Bioshock 2 will not be launched until the second half of 2010, keeping the game out of the jam-packed first half of the year, where Bioshock 2 would be competing against titles such as God of War III, Dante’s Inferno, MAG and Final Fantasy XIII to name but a few.

The rep also confirmed there will be a new trailer for the game to be shown at PAX East which runs from March 26-28 in Boston.

Cologne 2009: Gran Turismo 5 Damage Showcased

GT5

The feature many Gran Turimso fans have longed to have for years, damage modelling, can now be seen in GT5 but it has only  been shown on racing cars so far and not to road going models, so it is possible that damage will be limited as when the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV and the Subaru Impreza collide, the Evo is left in perfect condition.

The most likely reason for damage not being on the road cars is that it is probable that Polyphony Digital was unable to secure rights to damage for all the road cars as some manufacturers might not have taken too kindly at their models being smashed up.

The damage trailer follows the jump.
