Square Enix has put out the Tokyo Game Show trailer of Final Fantasy XIII.
To say it is amazing is an understatement. It simply is the best trailer released this year. Catch an English translation of it after the jump.
It’s out on December 17th for PlayStation 3 in Japan and Spring 2010 for the PS3 and 360 in the West.
enigmax over at Freakbits has discovered a rather brilliant fail on EA’s behalf in Need for Speed SHIFT. Over at EA’s forums, various bugs have been reported but this has to be the best of them all!
When navigating through the menus of SHIFT, the game crashed because it had been trying to access the PlayStation Store!

Ah the Dreamcast. Sega’s last foray into the console market sadly paled in comparison to Sony’s ubiquitous PlayStation 2, the Dreamcast sadly was much unloved by the mass market but this didn’t stop it becoming a legend in it’s own right, having some of the best titles of it’s generation, some of which could be heading to the PlayStation Store if the rumours are to be believed.
So, let’s crack on to the list of what games should definitely come to the PS Store!
Wallet stretched? Money getting tight? Is it hard to keep up with all the amazing games coming out over the next few months, let alone year? If the answer is yes, then look away now. We’ve scoured every inch of the ‘Game Achives’ (A small building in East Slough) for these titles that have been rather quiet for a while…Too quiet. Clean your rose-tinted glasses and practice your ‘Ohh, I remember that one!’ voice, because some of these are very good at staying unnoticed…
The 2010 delay doesn’t look quite so bad now, does it?
GT Planet have reported that all cars in GT5 will have damage. Unlike the previous thought, which was that only racing cars were to show some wear and tear, it now seems street cars also get bumps and bruises. However, unlike racing cars, street cars just get visual touches like paint scratching off – not the bumper or door detaching. It’s not quite Burnout, but it’s better than nothing. There’s a video, and rather nice screenshot, after the jump.
And we all shed a silent tear.
No, that wasn’t sarcasm. I was quite looking forward to the all-customizable, stealth/shooter hybrid from Obsidian coming out later this year. Unfortunately, due to top secret problems, the game’s been delayed another six months, to next summer. A shame, then, but hopefully all that extra polish and bug hunting should make for a better game. Hopefully.
Rockstar have sent out to us a brand new teaser for the upcoming GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony.
Looks good, sure it’ll be great. You know, the usual.
It’s after the jump. It’s out on October 29th for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live.
Speaking to 1UP, Team ICO boss Fumito Ueda has said that he would like to see a ICO/Shadow of the Colossus pack for the PS3.
It comes as SCEA recently announced that God of War I and God of War II would be released together in a collection in the run-up to the release of God of War III, which has a demo of the game in the collection.
Since then, fans of the two games have been shouting for a similar collection in the run-in to The Last Guardian.
“Initially, I didn’t want to consider that. I always thought they were designed for PS2 and should stay there. But lately, I’ve been thinking it would be nice to provide the games to other platforms to reach more users,” said Ueda.

The Final Fantasy XIII Japanese website has started counting down to the release of the new trailer from TGS!
When, when!?
Monday!
What?
Yip, Monday.
As it is, it’s counting at 1 day, 11 hours, 31 minutes and 57 seconds.
But we do know that most media outlets already have the trailer, thanks to our friends at RPGSite. Do we have it? No, sadly. Although we’re dying to have it.
All we know is that Monday cant come soon enough.
