Mass Effect 2 smashes 2 million mark
Posted in EA, PC, Xbox 360 with tags Bioware, Mass Effect 2 on January 29, 2010 by James LoveOne of our most hotly anticapted games of 2010, Mass Effect 2, has now sold in excess of 2 million copies within it’s first week of going on sale, with that figure set to rise even further with the game’s European launch today.
The game has so far recieved 40 perfect scores from critics, with it overal average 96%, with MSNBC.com stating that, “Mass Effect will go down as one of the most influential video game series of all-time.”

Xbox 360 sees sales dip
Posted in Xbox 360 on January 29, 2010 by James LoveLatest industry figures show that Microsoft saw a sales decrease in Q4 of 2009, with sales down 13% on the same quarter of the previous year. The total number of 360′s sold stood at 5.2 million compared with 6 million the year before.
The drop in sales isn’t all bad news for Microsoft as their profits have continued to increase on the 360 and their other products in the media division increasing from $130 million to $375 million, thanks to a 23% drop in production cost of the 360.

Episodes From Liberty City confirmed for PlayStation 3
Posted in PC, PlayStation 3, Rockstar Games, Take Two with tags Episodes from Liberty City, Grand Theft Auto IV, Rockstar North, Rockstar Toronto, The Ballad of Gay Tony, The Lost and Damned on January 29, 2010 by James LoveIt’s been doing rounds in the rumour mill ever since it was announced for the Xbox 360, but Rockstar have finally confirmed that the much awaited Grand Theft Auto IV DLC, Episodes from Liberty City, will indeed be making it’s way to the PlayStation 3.
Comprising of two pieces, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony it’ll be available in March on the PS3 and on PC too. “It’s been a long time coming, but we are proud to finally deliver Episodes From Liberty City for the PC and PlayStation 3,” said Sam Houser. “We appreciate the patience of our PlayStation 3 and PC fans worldwide.”

Loading time fix coming for PS3 version of Bayonetta
Posted in PlayStation 3, SEGA, Xbox 360 with tags Bayonetta, Platinum Games on January 28, 2010 by James LoveAfter suffering criticism for their PlayStation 3 port of Bayonetta, SEGA are on track to repair the damage by releasing a patch today that will significantly decrease loading times.
With the new update to the game, you now have the option to install it to the HDD which should hopefully cure the problem.

Metro 2033 dated

There’ll also be a Limited Edition available too giving you an exclusive shotgun and four art cards by Anton Grechko.

Supreme Commander 2 dated

Set a quarter of a century ahead of the last game, the new game promises bigger guns, bigger battles and a bigger story.

Aliens vs Predator ‘Heritage’ Trailer

Assassin’s Creed II DLC coming next week

The DLC is titled Battle of Forli and it will have a worldwide release for PS3 and X360, with prices pitched at €3.99 and 320 MS points respectively.
