Itagaki: “If I Made [Bayonetta], people would say, ‘What an idiot”

Bayonetta

Oh Itagaki-san, dont ever change.

Former Team Ninja head, and creator of the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series, Tomonobu Itagaki has said that if he had made a game similar to Bayonetta, he’d probably be labeled stupid and an idiot. But how was it obvious he was referring to Bayonetta in a 1up interview? Well… :

If I made a similar game as a game I made in the company I quit, people would say, “What an idiot, can’t he make anything else?” Well, that is more or less the opinion I have for, uh, that Bayo-something game. Covered in hair, is she? I dunno, [Hideki Kamiya, producer on Bayonetta and creator of Devil May Cry] must have a lot going through his head. Well, in any case, I would first recommend laser eye surgery. I’m sure he’s not that strapped for cash, right?

Snap!

Bayonetta’s out this Fall for PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360, from SEGA and Platnum Games.

MAG had a decent showing at Sony’s E3 press conference last Tuesday from Zipper Interactive, but there is still some niggling doubts as to what this game can do to keep a decent framecount and keep it lag free as well. Well, Zipper said it’s managed to keep it lag free and have it running at 30FPS.

How? Watch the video from the PS Blog after the jump. And by the by, that demo of MAG from last week’s Sony conference? It’s going up on GOONL!NE tomorrow so you can watch it again, so keep an eye out for sometime tomorrow afternoon.
