Uncharted 2 Review Score Average? Above Perfect.

Posted in PlayStation 3 with tags , , on September 18, 2009 by Chris Hawke

Uncharted 2

We know. It’s awesome.

Here’s a quick round-up of all the Uncharted 2 Reviews we’ve found:

Official Playstation Magazine US: 10/10

Gamesradar: 10/10

French Gamerzine’ Gameblog’: 5/5

PSM3 (French): 21/20

You do the maths. We’ll, we’ve got a calculator, so let me do it; at this point in time, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has an average review score of 101.25/100. That’s 1.25 more than is mathematically possible, and the highest rated game of all time. Will the scores stay that high? Looking at the videos, we’ll bet our houses yes.

Game’s out on the 16th October.

Neir: Replicant Shown for First Time

Posted in PlayStation 3, Square Enix, Xbox 360 with tags , , on September 18, 2009 by Jonathan Cullen

NeirSquare Enix has sent out a trailer for Neir: Replicant for the first time.

You can find it after the jump.

Since this is our first time covering Neir, we best state what it is. Originally announced before E3, Neir was meant to be one game for PS3 and 360.

However recently, Neir: Replicant and Neir: Gestalt were announced – Replicant for PS3, 360 gets Gestalt.

Same character, same gameplay mechanics (assumingly), but different stories. Neir, thats the name of the game and the main character, has to save his sister in Replicant, while saving his daughter in Gestalt.

Got all that? Good.

They’re both out early next year.

Posted in Codemasters, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 with tags , on September 17, 2009 by Chris Hawke

Dragon Rising

Another one, eh?

Yep, a new video called ‘Fog Of War’ shows off some of the finer aspects of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. The Codemasters team talk about how awesome the game is, while looks stern and being surrounded by visual effects. As you do.

Did we mention it’s amazing? We think we did. Oh well. It’s amazing.

Game’s out on October 9th. Video after the jump.

New Gran Turismo 5 Video Appears [Update]

Posted in PlayStation 3, Tokyo Games Show 2009 with tags , , on September 17, 2009 by Jonathan Cullen

GT5UPDATE: Classic YouTube line: “Video removed by user.”.

We’ll try and find another video out there.

Original Story: TGS. Eyes. Keep them plastered at Tokyo next week.

The game isn’t out for another two weeks, but already journalists have gotten ahold of Gran Turismo PSP for their reviews. So, credits roll, the end of GT PSP, you know.

But an easter egg at the end! But what is it? A new trailer of Gran Turismo 5.

“The next race is about to begin” is what it says at the start of the trailer, followed up then by a car from NASCAR been driving out of its trailer.

In the video, it shows an Audi R10 in a wind tunnel, as well as more video of NASCAR and WRC events in the game. This is almost certainly coming this year. Its a poor quailty trailer, but its after the jump.

New Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Multiplayer Video, Screens And Info On Demo

Posted in Codemasters, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 with tags , , , on September 17, 2009 by Chris Hawke

Dragon Rising

Got a little blowout for y’all…

It kicks off with a brand new Multiplayer video, showing off some of the PvP action. On consoles, the deathmatch mode of ‘Annialation’ pits 4 players on each team, with each player ordering 3 AI soldiers around. The second, Infiltration, sees 10 USMC trying to break in a steal an objective in a base, defended by 22 PLA guards (including AI). It. Looks. Stunning.

The second little thing is four new screenshots from a video coming out tomorrow. They. Look. Stunning.

And the third? No pre-release demo, it seems. We’re still trying to get Codemasters to talk to us, but it seems for both consoles and PC, there’s a Single Player and Co-op demo after release, to ‘put 100% focus on the game’. Bummer.

Game’s out on the 9th October, all the goodies after the jump.
