Although not part of EA’s main presentation, Army of Two: 40th Day was previewed at GamesCom.
The campaign will deal with Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem as they attempt to escape from Shanghai. Gameplay has been tweaked to offer new tactical options such as feigning surrender to outflank the enemy, human shields, and automated covering. For example, if Salem is running to a column or a piece of debris he will automatically go into cover mode.
Army Of Two: 40th Day is set to launch on December 1st on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Fable II is set to be given a second release in the form of episodic download content. From September 29th onwards, 5 episodes will be released, the first of which being free to help whet the appetite. After you finish the first chapter, you’ll then have the option to either buy the next one or buy the rest of the game.
Today at GamesCom, Microsoft have announced the third game in the Fable series for Xbox 360.
Fable III is another step up in scale and attention to detail from Fable II, this time you’ll be the ruler of Albion. As with the games that preceded it it’ll all be about choice.
Peter Molyneux told of how you could choose to “eradicate poverty” by giving money to the poor, or you can horde it for yourself and become quite the autocrat. Every choice you make will effect what happens in the game, every action will have a reaction.
Another trailer from EA, this time for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The sequel to one of the most critically-acclaimed games of last year looks bigger and better than ever, boasting larger explosions and more tense action. The Frostbite engine with it’s ‘Destruction 2.0′ allows for snipers to be creative by blowing up bits of the scenery to gain prime positions for which to attack.
As always with Battlefield, squad play is key with EA stating that “Bad Company 2 will encourage players to work as a four-person team to achieve a common goal.”
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 from March 2nd 2010.

David Cage was on stage for Quantic Dream demoing more of Sony’s upcoming thriller, Heavy Rain.
Cage announced the two brand new characters for the game, one a private detective called Scott Shelby and the second called Ethan.
Ethan lost his eldest son in a crowd, and he was hit by a car and died. Another son is apparently kidnapped by The Origami Killer, Ethan it seems is not the luckiest fellow around. The video ends with a car chase, gunplay, some police kicking down a door and ending with someone saying, “Everything I did, I did for love,” presumably Ethan.
