The first trailer for ModNation Racers, the racing games from United Front Games based on the Play, Create, Share genre created by LittleBigPlanet, has gone live over on GT.
The game was revealed at E3 and was coined as the next big thing in Play, Create, Share by the developer as well as SCEA president, Jack Tretton. In the game, you can create your own characters, cars and tracks as well as share your tracks and cars and finally, play cars and tracks created by other players.
When we first seen the trailer, 3 words came into our head.
Little. Big. Planet.
While we’re not hyped for it (yet), you cant help but feel it has that LBP feel to it. And that is a very good thing, a very good thing indeed considering how much we loved LittleBigPlanet.
Catch the trailer after the jump.
Oh nofi you tease. Our friends at TheSixthAxis has teased a Xbox 360 “favourite” is coming to the PS3 with the first info coming next month, but that was all that was given by TSA.
Now, think about it. What is happening next month? GamesCOM in Cologne. Better yet, what has happened this week? BioWare stating that the Mass Effect IP is owned by EA which could mean the game would still come to the PS3.
Thats what their guessing over there, and thats what we’re guessing here too, either Mass Effect or Mass Effect 2. More at the link.
Tonight is the night, 1 vs 100 kicks off in the UK. And to celebrate, Microsoft is throwing open the gates to Xbox Live Gold to all Silver members for the weekend to play 1 vs 100.
We’ve played it already, and we liked it if you read our impressions. First game kicks off at 7:30pm. France and Germany get their versions as of Monday.
MCV’s reporting that a Game of the Year version of LittleBigPlanet is coming this year which will include all of the downloadble content that’s been included onto the PlayStation Store.
That means stuff you most likely havent bought yet like Resistance, Motorstorm and Team ICO packs plus sticker packs to name a few and the infamous Metal Gear Solid expansion as well as the upcoming Ratchet & Clank, Ghostbusters and Disney packs.

Hold the fucking phone, there is gonna be a 3rd map pack for Killzone 2!
While SCEE may have told us otherwise a while ago there arent any plans for a 3rd pack, SCEJ say otherwise. They have a new report up on the Killzone 2 Japanese website which reveals the “Napalm and Petrusite” map pack. It’s out near the end of the month, July 23rd for ¥800 (€5.99/£TBC).
Catch the incriminating photo after the jump, and yes, we will be asking SCEE about this again.
UPDATE: Wait, there is?
Original Story: Despite reports of an updated trophy list for the game, pointed out by Kotaku, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has told GOONL!NE that there are no current plans for a 3rd Killzone 2 map pack at this time.
A SCEE rep told us that, despite the new trophies which would look like new weapons and maps are incoming, they have “no plans to release a 3rd at this moment in time”.
We’ve only just released the 2nd map pack (Flash & Thunder), and haven’t made any announcements about, or have plans to release a 3rd, at this moment in time.
We’ve reached out to Guerrilla Games about it anyways, we’re hoping to hear back from them shortly. The game was released back in February (a 10 from us) with two subsequent map packs, the most recent being Flash & Thunder which are remakes of Killzone 1 multiplayer maps.
Arkine Studios has announced that it’ll be contribtuting to the develoment of BioShock 2. It now makes Arkine the fourth studio to be working on the game alongside 2k Marin, 2k Austraila, Digital Extremes and now, Arkine.
It’s confirmed on it’s website.
Alyssa Finley, 2k Marin producer said that Arkine are assistning in making “levels that embody the aesthetic and gameplay ideals that make BioShock such a unique and exciting experience”.
Under the direction and leadership of 2K Marin, Arkane is assisting in the creation of levels that embody the aesthetic and gameplay ideals that make BioShock such a unique and exciting experience”
Game’s out on October 30th for PS3 and 360 in Europe, Novemer 3rd in the US.
This could be the reason why the XBLA version of Battlefield 1943 has been kicking the bucket since it’s release on Wednesday. According to Gamerbytes, they claim that over 80,000 people has gone on the game since it’s release.
No such figures for the PS3 yet, mind you its only been out for less then 24 hours.

BioWare have released a second developer diary for Mass Effect 2, which tells you alot more of the game’s story, its refiend gameplay and thensome.
Project Director Casey Hudson, as well as other BioWare staff on ME2, talk about some of the newest refinements in the gameplay, one of which being an interupt system in which Shepard can decide, as Hudson puts it, “enough is enough” and take instant action. while in the middle of a conversation.
And speaking of Shepard, he will be playable in the game. But beware, Hudson hinted near the end of the video that if you kill off Shepard in Mass Effect 2, he stays dead. “Permanently” as he put it. They also tell you how the Normandy get fucked upon in the E3 trailer.
Check it out after the jump. Game’s out early next year for the Xbox 360.
