Needless to say, E3 threw up some big ones this year, more then last year when we had just 1 with Final Fantasy XIII. This year, there was several. We’ve gone through the conferences best moments to pick out the finest ones with a top 3 for each conference.
Needless to say, we had alot of big announcements, several megatons and two gigatons, so lets do this.
Last week, we went for the Friends type title for the Weekly Recap, this week, we went for a little in our headline.
But even then, we dont think JD or Turk could have saved us from the influx of stuff for E3 2009. What a fucking week we had, it was Christmas for gamers, be that as a gamer or a gaming journalist. We’re still doing the recap of course, we just want you caught up on E3 of course, but we’re gonna do it with a slight twist this week.
Any news announced from the conferences we covered as a livetext (Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, Nintendo, Sony) will be tagged as Scrubs tags, so for you to know what we’re on about:
Sony – [JD]
Microsoft – [Turk]
Nintendo – [Elliot]
Multiplatform [Dr. Cox]
Other [Carla]
Oh, and megatons and gigatons? Bolded.
So, lets do this. 160 stories full of E3 goodness.
E3’s been incredible, but as well as the seriousness of announcements, games and conferences, the expo has a funny side. Oh lord, what would we do now without GT translator. Or what about Ubisoft, and their press conference?
And while Natal was a revolution in the wings during the Microsoft press conference, it did throw some thing’s not too evolutionary. Catch the funny side of the expo, thanks to eBaums, 4c and GAF, after the jump with our top picks.
Truth be told, we’re nearly in stiches with some of these
Ueda-san’s 3rd game is finally known to the world and now, we have the trailer to prove it. Team ICO wowed people with ICO and Shadow of the Colossus on the PlayStation 2, nearly 4 (Shadow of the Colossus) and 8 (ICO) years ago respectively.
Now, in 2010, Sony will give us what the team and Fumito Ueda, have been up to since. And if the leaked concept trailer earlier, and the new E3 trailer are anything, this one will be just as special as the games beforehand.
Check the trailer after the jump. We hope for more to be revealed about the game at the Tokyo Games Show at the end of September.
